Code Fever attracts and nurtures talent through BlackTech Meetups and BlackTech Office Hours. Code Fever Miami fosters civic and economic engagement with BlackTech Weekend and BlackTech Week. Code Fever enhances opportunity with its VC In Residence program. Code Fever Miami’s plan is to raise a $50 million fund to increase the number of Black-founded, high-growth tech firms. Code Fever will reshape policies impacting diversity and inclusion, and change the narrative about what diversity and inclusion means for the innovation sector.
Felecia Hatcher is on a mission to rid our Black communities of innovation deserts by working with communities to create inclusive and diverse startup ecosystems as the co-founder and executive director of Code Fever and Black Tech Week. We want to create a magnetic force of talent and opportunity within the Black community that draws resources and opportunities inward to foster increased entrepreneurialism and to reshape the way Black communities engage, contribute, and are valued in the innovation sector. Hatcher was named one of the 2014 White House Champions of Change for STEM Access and Diversity, a Black Enterprise Innovator of the Week, and featured on the NBC Today Show, MSNBC, and Grio’s 100 African Americans Making History. Before launching Feverish and Code Fever, Hatcher worked as a marketing manager launching technology and gaming products for Sony, Nintendo, Wells Fargo 2nd life video game, as well as the NBA. Hatcher is also the author of Start your Business on a Ramen Noodle Budget, Focused, Become an Epic Expert, and the C Students Guide to Scholarships.
