Brennan manages Echoing Green’s Black Male Achievement Fellows portfolio. In this role he identifies the next generation of promising social entrepreneurs, while providing mentorship and support to current BMA Fellows.
Brennan graduated with distinction from Columbia University where he received his Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Policy. His current research focuses on the intersections between media, politics, and culture, and its use as tools for new literacies in education. While completing his Ph.D., Brennan served as an instructor and coach to over 300+ pre-service teachers and is currently a research affiliate at the Center for Minority Serving Institutions at the University of Pennsylvania and postdoctoral fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University. His media interests led him to oversee, develop, and create digital, editorial, and narrative strategies at media corporations such as The New York Times, MSNBC, CNN, and HuffPost. Brennan is a proud graduate of Howard University where he graduated with honors with a degree in Political Science. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, jogging, trying new restaurants, and Robin Williams movies.
