Jayshawn Lee

Assistant, Investments


Jayshawn is an interdisciplinary scholar and writer who serves as a Program Assistant for the Investments Team.

In his role, he supports Echoing Green’s Investments Team as they build up their internal capacity and infrastructure, focusing on systems, programmatic operations, and administration.

Jayshawn graduated from NYU Gallatin, where he studied as a GUIDE Scholar, growing further as a writer while crafting his academic concentration titled The Political Economy of Global Equity. In addition, he has worked with several programs and organizations that have serviced social justice and development, including Future VC, West Side Against Hunger, NYC City Council District 7, and more.

Jayshawn has also received an A.A. in Writing and Literature from BMCC, where he was the two-time winner of the James Tolan Writing Award. He is also a candidate for his Master’s in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University. You can usually find him working on his first manuscript, modeling or thrifting in Manhattan.
