Kate Holzman

Deputy Director, Board Training

Programs

Kate oversees Echoing Green’s ecosystem programming, a new effort which seeks to meaningfully connect, engage, and catalyze individuals and organizations across the Echoing Green community and beyond.

Previously, she was the Director of Partnerships at Code Nation, where she created strategy and engaged industry advocates to help under-represented youth gain access to careers in tech. Before that, Kate was the Connecticut Regional Director for Read to a Child, a national organization mobilizing the corporate community in support of children's literacy. Her belief in the power of social entrepreneurship led her to work for the Latin American Ethical Fashion Forum on behalf of artisans and suppliers, and later to co-found a small ethical clothing brand. She earned a Master’s Degree in Community Development, and a Bachelor's in International Development & Social Change, both from Clark University. In her free time, Kate enjoys volunteering at a legal clinic and going to the movies as often as possible.
