Leah Bloom

Director, Leadership Development

Programs

Leah leads the Individual Fellow Support activities for the Echoing Green Fellowship, creating and implementing strategy that serve our funded Fellows.

She manages a team of three talented Senior Associates who are dedicated to the support and leadership development of their portfolios of Fellows. Previously at Echoing Green, Leah was the Portfolio Manager for the Climate Fellows. Throughout her career, Leah has worked at the intersection of environment, gender and poverty at organizations such as the Women’s Environment and Development Organization, CDP, and the U.S. State Department. In 2010, she became involved with Innovation: Africa, raising funds and running campaigns and had the honor of sitting on their Volunteer Executive Committee. Leah also served two years as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer stationed in Senegal where she focused on agroforestry and girls’ access to education. Though the trees she planted died, Leah’s enthusiasm to continue working on social and environmental issues remains strong. When she’s not hard at work with her Echoing Green colleagues, you can find Leah horseback riding, knitting, or exploring far corners of the globe.
