Miriam Kleynerman

Miriam supports the program management functions of the Direct Impact Program at Echoing Green, assisting with the application and review process, helping with logistics for retreats and workshops, and developing the alumni program.

Prior to joining the team, she served as the social impact assistant at Away, where she managed corporate responsibility projects for their nonprofit partner, Peace Direct. She spent her Freshman year at NYU abroad in Paris, and graduated with a major in Politics and minors in Social Enterprise and Public Health. During her studies, she interned at multiple organizations including Indego Africa, a small social enterprise working with female artisans in Ghana and Rwanda, and at Clinton Foundation, where she assisted with event logistics and spearheaded a proposal for the “Community Health Tech Pilot Program.” She is passionate about grassroots economic development and integrating the public and private sectors for social good. In her free time, you can find Miriam trying out a new recipe, exploring a new brunch spot, or hanging out at a local coffee shop (pretty much anything food related).
