Elizabeth Allen

Associate, Communications

Elizabeth Allen is a communications professional with an editorial-focused background. She brings experience utilizing storytelling and research to foster consensus and promote narrative change, helping generate impact across communities.

Before joining Echoing Green, Elizabeth spent nearly three years at the Vera Institute of Justice, the national criminal justice think tank and advocacy organization. At Vera, she provided editorial support and coordinated day-to-day blog operations, in addition to managing the publication of discrete research projects and content. Elizabeth also authored several blogs of her own, featuring testimony from impacted people and contributions from subject matter experts, on topics ranging from the adaptive reuse of carceral infrastructure to the unique challenges faced by incarcerated women pursuing higher education.

Elizabeth holds a B.A. in history with a minor in educational studies from Bryn Mawr College.
