Finance & Operations

Stacy Lewis is a systems thinker and people-first leader who builds strategies and structures that bring organizational values to life.

As Managing Director of People & Operations at Echoing Green, Stacy leads the strategy and execution behind the systems, practices, and culture that shape the employee experience and strengthen the organization’s infrastructure. She leads cross-functional efforts with directors and team leads to design inclusive systems, translate values into policy, and create the conditions for staff to thrive. Her portfolio spans human resources, operations, and organizational effectiveness — all anchored in a deep commitment to equity, transparency, and care.

With more than two decades of experience across education, human services, and the nonprofit sector, Stacy brings a steady, strategic lens to building strong teams and effective structures. At Echoing Green, she has stewarded major organizational shifts — from redesigning compensation and performance management to codifying internal policy and grounding people practices in the organization’s mission.

In 2025, Stacy completed The Equity Lab’s Nexus Fellowship, a leadership program for executives advancing equity and systemic change within institutions. The experience deepened her practice as a strategist and reaffirmed her belief that meaningful change must be rooted in relationships, clarity, and care.

Stacy holds a master’s degree from The New School – Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment and a bachelor’s from Hofstra University. Prior to Echoing Green, she held leadership roles at Pratt Institute, PowerMyLearning, and Knowledge Delivery Systems.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Stacy is a native New Yorker who leads with intention, humor, and heart — and can usually be found with a song in her head, singing in harmony (or solo) whenever the moment calls for it.
