Eleven Echoing Green Fellows Join Forbes 30 Under 30 2019 Class

Miranda Wang and Jeanny Yao are two of eleven Echoing Green Fellows on this year's Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

We are excited to share that eleven Echoing Green Fellows were named to the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 class. These Fellows are social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and innovators who are working across sectors and industries to solve the world’s most pressing problems. They join 71 other Echoing Green Fellows who have been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list since 2011.

Fellows in the 2019 30 Under 30 class include:

  • Miranda Wang ’18 and Jeanny Yao ’18, co-founders of BioCellection, are tackling plastic pollution through a proprietary chemical process that transforms previously unrecyclable plastics into usuable products.
  • Amina Yamusah ’16 is co-founder of BLOC, a career coaching company leveraging emerging technology, including AI tools, to empower talent of color and generate more impactful coaching.
  • Angelo Campus ’17, founder of BoxPower, is addressing climate injustice by providing affordable, rapidly deployable containerized microgrids for no upfront capital cost.
  • Kelsey Skaggs ’18, co-founder of the Climate Defense Project, is providing legal support to the climate movement, representing individuals arrested for nonviolent civil disobedience against fossil fuel infrastructure.
  • Kyle Kornack ’18, co-founder of Green Gas, is unlocking new funding for climate solutions by embedding carbon pricing into gasoline purchases. These donations fund the organization’s portfolio of projects tackling climate change.
  • Rebecca Hui ’16, founder of Roots Studio, is digitizing art from rural communities into an online library for licensing. Artists can instantly distribute their creations globally, and royalities average five times more than the original selling price.
  • Jenna Nicholas ’18, founder of Impact Experience, is driving environmental and social regeneration in marginalized communities by building strategic, lasting relationships among funders and local climate leaders.
  • Xiaoyuan (Charlene) Ren ’16, founder of MyH2O, is driving transparency and civic engagement to decrease water pollution in China through a water testing network and an interactive platform to motivate clean water solutions.
  • Aziz Alghunaim ’18 and Atif Javed ’18, co-founders of Tarjimly, are connecting refugees to doctors, lawyers, and NGOs by eliminating language barriers and making it easy for bilingual people to volunteer as remote real-time translators.
