Six Echoing Green Fellows Join Forbes 30 Under 30 2020 Class

Darius Ballinger is one of six Echoing Green Fellows on this year's Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

This year, six Echoing Green Fellows were named to the 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 class. These Fellows are social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and innovators who are working across sectors and industries to solve the world’s most pressing problems. They join 82 other Echoing Green Fellows who have been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 lists since 2011.

Fellows in the 2020 30 Under 30 class include:

  • Jelani Anglin ’18 and Gabe Leader-Rose ’18, co-founders of Good Call, are protecting the civil rights of low-income individuals and people of color by providing immediate access to free legal support in case of an arrest.
  • Darius Ballinger​ ’19, founder of Chasing23, is reducing the juvenile recidivism rate in Chicago among young men of color by providing transitional employment and individual support.
  • Lucas Mason-Brown ’17 and ​Yeshimabeit Milner​ ’17, co-founders of Data for Black Lives, are mobilizing scientists around racial justice issues by connecting them to activists and organizers and providing grassroots organizations with the data tools they need.
  • Austin Martin​ ’19, founder of Rhymes with Reason, is strengthening students’ vocabulary and literacy skills through a web application that draws upon the academic content found in popular music.
