Michio currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and is a graduate from the University of Connecticut where he studied Natural Resources

Through his studies and previous experiences, he has gained a strong passion for environmental justice. In his last role with the Open Space Institute, he researched and conducted work on a wide variety of topics including Climate-Informed Forest Management and Indigenous History in the Hudson Valley. He aspires to continuously learn about domestic and international human rights issues, and has a deep passion for all things environmental. In his free time he enjoys hiking, skiing, attending concerts, and traveling.
